Is it epilating or waxing? Being the highly unorganized person I am, waxing seemed the best option for me during my early days in college and work. Last moment plans spurring out of nowhere can be fascinating if you get to wear your favorite outfit however with black underarms caused due to regular shaving the entire party mood gets spoilt.

That’s when I decided to go for waxing which though messy with all those strips and hot wax getting spread over the floor, can save you from embarrassment when done once in 4 weeks and you are ready to slip into your favorite outfit. The problem of hair removal is not only restricted to sleeveless blouses alone but also extends to short-pants, capris and three-quarter length trousers. Who would like to showcase their bear legs? Waxing is in vogue since time immemorial when the women considered a glowing smooth and hairless body as an epitome of beauty. Waxing does have its own advantages as it covers a large area at one go when the hair is removed and lasts for about 4 weeks. Simultaneously waxing has its cons in the fact its sticky and messier and can cause redness, irritability of skin.

Epilators on the other hand, is an electric device which when rolled over a place, removes the hair from the root without damaging the skin or the epidermis. The process is not messy and can be done with a few minutes’ notice that is a boon for lazy, unplanned women like me. Over time the growth of hair is checked and the process becomes less painful. That’s precisely why epilator will score brownie points over waxing.
